Are you aware of a struggling individual in need of temporary housing?
GVR's housing ministry has been specifically created to support those in the City of Tucson who have found themselves without the means of providing the basic necessity of a roof over their heads. There are two homes available in Tucson: The Women’s Home (east side) and the Men’s Home (centrally located). Individuals will live in the homes for up to six months and pay a flat fee per month, or 30% of their income, whichever is greater, while they commit to saving their money while employed, or seeking gainful employment if unemployed and/or completing their education. The goal is for them to save enough money to enable them to move out and have adequate monthly income to sustain a household.
Please understand two important things: 1) These are not “group homes”. GVR is simply allowing individuals in need to stay together in these homes for a brief time; and 2) The ministry is in its infant stages and will develop, in collaboration with other Christian churches, organizations, and individuals.
Each guest is asked to complete an Application, sign a Lodging Agreement and House Responsibility Statement.
GVR’s vision is to generate the financial resources required to support these homes, but until then fees are required to subsidize a portion of the per-room cost.
If you are interested in supporting GVR's Housing Ministry, please make checks payable to CrossRoads Church (1603 S Eastside Loop, Tucson, AZ 85710), and put "GVR" in the memo section. Of course, all donations are tax deductible.
